As we emerge from a difficult Pandemic, MYCT are looking to become more diverse and as well as offering ‘Outdoor Pursuits’ would like to set up training modules in Trades related activities(Bricklaying, Roofing, Joinery and flagging to start with). Further courses of Horticulture and Catering will be complemented at a later date.
Our aims this year are to start restoration of our Grade II listed building and to recommence outdoor activities for our young people. An initial intake of ten building apprentices is envisaged.
Should anybody feel they would like to get involved more and help us as a volunteer or trustee further details are available under our Help Us page.
Merseyside Youth Challenge Trust aims to provide structured outdoor adventure and training to children and young adults from all backgrounds in order to develop personal potential, teamwork and trust. We believe that there is a real need for what we do i.e. giving children and young adults the opportunity to experience challenging activities in their own backyard. We are a hidden oasis in the heart of a major city, and we know we make a positive difference to young people’s lives.
